Shanghai Medical University has the following five institutions:

1. Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University

The former Shanghai First Medical College was renamed Shanghai Medical University on 1985. In 1959, the college was identified as one of the national 16 key institutions of higher learning, and was selected into the first batch of 2 1 1 projects in 1997. In 2000, Shanghai Medical University and Fudan University merged to form the new Fudan University. 20 1 1 New Shanghai Medical College was established.

2. Second Military Medical University

The abbreviation of PLA Naval Medical University, the National 2 1 1 Project, the Army 2 10 Project and the former General Logistics Department 530 Project, is the first batch of national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction universities, and the military postgraduate training is the key construction universities. It is one of the three units in the army that set up graduate schools.

3. Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine

It is the first college of traditional Chinese medicine jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the local government. It is also a key high-level university in Shanghai and the first "double first-class" world-class discipline construction university in China.

5. Shanghai Health Medical College

Referred to as "Shangjian Medical", it is a municipal undergraduate medical college, a civilized unit in Shanghai and a safe demonstration unit in Shanghai. 20 15 School was formed by the merger of Shanghai Medical College, Shanghai Medical Device College and Shanghai Health Vocational and Technical College. Shanghai Medical College, formerly known as School of Health Technology of Shanghai Second Medical University, was established in 1999.

Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, founded in 1927, formerly known as Medical College of National Central University, is the first national medical college founded by China. From 65438 to 0932, the Medical College of National Central University became the only national medical college in China at that time. 1939 after the outbreak of the anti-Japanese war, the college moved to Kunming, Yunnan; 1940 moved to Chongqing, Sichuan. The Anti-Japanese War Victory College moved back to Shanghai.
