Chengdu University of Technology, formerly known as Chengdu Geological Exploration Institute, was founded in 1956. It is located in Dongsan Road, Erxian Bridge, chenghua district, Chengdu, Sichuan, with Chengdu Campus and Yibin Campus. It is one of the three geological colleges in the early days of the founding of New China. It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Sichuan Province, and was shortlisted as a "double-class" construction university.
