Located in Fuzhou, a famous historical and cultural city known as "Zou Lu on the seashore", it is a century-old provincial institution of higher learning with a long history and outstanding reputation. The school was founded by Mr. Chen, an imperial envoy of the Qing Dynasty, 1907, and was later merged by South China Women's College of Arts and Sciences, Fujian Christian University and Fujian Provincial Teachers College.
