Today, I am honored to be selected to speak in front of my classmates and students all over the United States. In the past three years, I have made full use of every academic, extracurricular and community opportunity presented to me. As far as I know, a scholar expressed disappointment with my work and asked me to do better. Being reassigned to another class is not an option. After that experience, I made up my mind to be outstanding. Therefore, I successfully maintained my concentration in the advanced preparatory class and regarded setbacks as constructive energy. Today I stand in front of my peers, and I want you to know that we may get excellent educational opportunities. But as students, we must be responsible for our future. We can be taught, but we must master our own learning. As the senior president, I encourage all our freshmen to make full use of the opportunities offered by Wakefield High School.
Apart from the inspiration I got from President Obama, if I hadn't studied at wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia, I wouldn't be standing here introducing you to the President of the United States. Just as President Obama came to wakefield to give us a speech today, we are also very lucky. After he leaves, we will continue to have the opportunities and support that wakefield has given us all.
At this moment, with great honor and pride, I ask everyone to stand up and welcome the man who proved "Yes, we can". Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in welcoming President barack obama of the United States of America.
Good morning, I would like to extend a warm welcome to President Obama, Secretary of Education arne duncan, White House staff, members of the school committee, members of the county committee, Dr. Patrick Murphy, director of the school, other school staff, President Doris Jackson, wakefield School and my classmates!
Today, I am very honored to be chosen to stand here and speak in front of classmates and students all over the United States. In the past three years, I have seized every opportunity to study hard at school, after class and in society. I remember a scholar said that he was disappointed with what I wrote and thought that I could only reach that level, but he would never agree to let me change classes! From then on, I made up my mind to be excellent. So I concentrated on studying the pre-university courses and always used that setback to motivate myself. Today, when I stand in front of my peers, I want you to know that we may give you excellent educational opportunities, but we should also take responsibility for our own future. There will be teachers to teach us, but we have to study by ourselves. As the president of the graduating class, I hope the freshmen in wakefield can make good use of all the learning conditions provided by the school.
I was encouraged by President Obama, but if I didn't attend wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia, I wouldn't be able to stand here and introduce the president of our country. Today, President Obama gave a speech here, and we are very lucky. After the principal left, wakefield High School will still provide all of us with learning opportunities and support, which is also a kind of luck!
Now, with great honor and pride, I ask all of you present to stand up and welcome the person who once confirmed the sentence "Yes, we can". Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in welcoming President barack obama!
It's all by hand, thank you in advance, and I also learned something in the process ~ ~
