The college has set up three undergraduate majors: English, Japanese and Chinese as a foreign language (jointly run with the Overseas Education College). For decades, the quality of English (teacher education) major has enjoyed a high reputation in Bamin, and undergraduate graduates have maintained a graduate admission rate of nearly 1/3 for two consecutive years. This major won the first place in the professional construction appraisal of the whole school in 2004 and was rated as the first batch of key brand majors in Fujian Normal University. Since 1992, the scores and passing rates of college students who have taken the CET-4 and CET-8 have, to a certain extent, exceeded the average level of similar majors in colleges and universities in China, and also greatly exceeded the average level of similar majors in normal universities.
