1. CET-4 and CET-6 are national English tests managed by the Ministry of Education. Its purpose is to objectively and accurately measure the actual English ability of college students and provide evaluation services for college English teaching. College English test is a large-scale standardized test and a "norm reference test of standard correlation". CET-4 and CET-6 are national teaching examinations, which are organized and implemented by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). They are held twice a year in the morning and afternoon on the same day. From June 5438+ 10, 2005, with a full mark of 7 10, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) entrusted the National College English Testing Committee to issue transcripts to each candidate.
2. Since February 2013,65438, the National College English Examination Committee has made some adjustments to the examination paper structure and examination questions of CET-4 and CET-6. After adjustment, the test paper structure and test questions of Band 4 and Band 6 are the same. In order to adapt to the changes in the social demand for college students' English listening ability under the new situation and further improve the validity of the listening test, the National College English Test Committee for Band 4 and Band 6 will partially adjust the test items of Band 4 and Band 6 from June 438+06, 2065.

As CET-4 and CET-6 are super-large-scale standardized examinations involving tens of millions of candidates every year, the reform of examination content and form must go through a certain scale of pilot, scientifically demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the new examination paper, and understand the feedback from teachers and students. Therefore, since June 2006, 1 reformed CET-4 has been tried out among students who participated in the experiment of college English teaching reform, and the new CET-6 has been tried out in the same way since June 2006. Initially, the reformed CET-4 will be fully implemented in June 2007, and the reformed CET-6 will be fully implemented in June 2007. The examination committee will formulate a new syllabus and sample questions for CET-4 and CET-6 according to the teaching requirements, and announce them to teachers and students in time.
