College of Science and Technology of Nanchang University is an independent college founded according to the spirit of documents [200 1] 137 and [200 1]204 of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and Jiangxi Provincial Development Planning Commission. Founded in August 20001year, there are currently 4 186 students. Relying on the abundant teachers' advantages of Nanchang University, the college insists on taking teaching as the center and students as the main body, continuously deepens the teaching reform, and pays special attention to the cultivation of students' ability and quality. In terms of specialty setting, the college highlights the urgent need and application of society, and has successively set up mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation, automation, computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, civil engineering, architecture, industrial design, environmental engineering, business administration, English, law, Chinese language and literature, journalism, art design, international economy and trade, information and computing science, biotechnology, bioengineering, polymer materials and engineering, and so on.

In the past three years, with the strong support of higher authorities and brother colleges, the scale, level and comprehensive strength of Nanchang University College of Science and Technology have been continuously improved. In 2003, after the new leadership of the college took office, the goal of "striving to make the Institute of Technology reach the first-class level of similar secondary colleges in China in terms of quality, scale, benefit and management" was established, and the overall school-running idea of "scientific orientation, giving full play to advantages, running schools according to law, innovative development and making more contributions" was put forward. The college covers an area of 554 mu, with a teaching building 12000 square meters, five student apartments (3 1000 square meters), a student canteen (4500 square meters), a public bathroom (300 square meters), a boiling room (40 square meters), four basketball courts and two volleyball courts. To meet the teaching needs, the college is equipped with six multi-functional multimedia classrooms, three ***200 modern voice classrooms, a computer center equipped with 120 computers (all workstations are equipped with disks) and an English broadcasting transmitter.
