I. Application conditions
(1) Basic requirements

2. Physical and mental health status meets the prescribed medical examination requirements.
3. Written recommendation from at least two professors (or experts with equivalent professional titles) who apply for disciplines.
4. Servicemen should know in advance the relevant requirements of the unit and the higher authorities of the People's Liberation Army for active doctoral candidates. Only with the consent of the unit and the superior can you apply for the exam in accordance with the regulations.
(2) Education and degree requirements
1. Those who have graduated from master's degree or have obtained a master's degree, among them, the recipients of overseas academic degree certificates must obtain the overseas academic degree certificates issued by the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education before entering the school.
2. Graduates with master's degree or master's degree in education must obtain master's degree certificate and postgraduate diploma before entering the school at the latest. Non-master's degree graduates may not apply as master's degree graduates.
3. A person with the same degree as a master's degree must meet the following three conditions:
Have obtained a bachelor's degree for more than 6 years (including 6 years, from the date of obtaining a bachelor's degree to the date of doctoral admission).

Second, the enrollment method
There are three ways to recruit engineering doctoral graduates in our school: direct doctoral degree, continuous doctoral degree and general recruitment. Among them, the general recruitment method adopts the "application-assessment" system, and the candidates who apply for doctoral students in our school by the "application-assessment" method carefully read the "Description of the Application Assessment System for Doctoral Students in Beijing Jiaotong University in 2023" before applying for the exam.
Third, the application procedure.
All candidates log on to the doctoral enrollment system of the special website of Beijing Jiaotong University Graduate School to register and pay fees. 1. 2. Candidates for master's and master's degree programs apply for the exam according to the requirements of the admission notice for master's and master's degree programs.

The study mode of engineering doctoral students in our university is full-time, and there are two application methods: non-directional employment and directional employment. After the registration, the candidate's application category cannot be changed in principle. The school will co-ordinate the admission of directional employment candidates, and the number of admissions will be subject to the final actual number of admissions.
Non-directional employment
The personnel files are transferred to our school. Choose your own job after graduation and be sent by the school. They pay the corresponding tuition fees during their studies and enjoy a certain amount of grants, academic scholarships, medical insurance and other benefits. On-the-job candidates who apply for non-directional doctoral students, if admitted, must study full-time and transfer their personnel files to our school.
Targeted employment
This year, colleges and universities in our school that recruit oriented employment-oriented doctoral students in engineering can refer to the "Beijing Jiaotong University 2023 Doctoral Students Enrollment Catalogue".
Except for the candidates urgently needed in the special enrollment plan for training high-level talents in national key areas in the second paragraph of Article 8, the new generation information technology project, and the key plan for ethnic minorities in the second paragraph of this paragraph, all full-time doctoral students in our school are enrolled according to the special enrollment of doctoral students in scientific research funds this year, and the training expenses for doctoral students are paid by the research project funds of the enrollment tutor.
1. Candidates with work units
Personnel files and household registration remain in the orientation training unit. After admission, they signed a directional employment agreement with the school and the employer respectively, and returned to the original unit for employment after graduation. Do not participate in school employment dispatch when you graduate, and may not apply for employment dispatch for any reason. Our school does not solve accommodation; Candidates pay the corresponding tuition fees to the school as agreed, and do not enjoy bursaries and medical insurance. Graduates (or students) who are currently undergoing orientation and entrusted training and on-the-job candidates who are still fulfilling their contract service years must obtain the consent of the orientation, entrusted training unit or service unit before they can apply for orientation employment doctoral students. Candidates can't be admitted because of disputes between candidates and orientation, entrusted training units or service units, and the responsibility shall be borne by candidates.
2. Candidates without work units
Non-on-the-job candidates who are limited to the backbone plan of ethnic minorities must sign an orientation agreement for graduate students of the high-level backbone plan of ethnic minorities according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education before entering school, work according to the signed agreement after graduation, pay the corresponding tuition fees according to the agreement, and enjoy a certain amount of grants and medical insurance during their school days.
VI. Basic academic system
The basic study period for doctoral students is 4 years; The basic study period for undergraduate graduates to directly pursue doctoral degrees is 5 years. Full-time doctoral students (including undergraduates directly pursuing doctoral degrees) (including suspension from school and retention of student status) have a maximum study period of no more than 2 years outside the basic study period.
Seven. Tuition fees and related incentive policies
According to the regulations of the state and Beijing, the school charges 10000 yuan/student/academic year for doctoral students. Doctoral students in our school have basic scholarships, including state grants, ranging from 1.500 yuan to 1.750 yuan per student per month, and research grants ranging from 500 yuan to 800 yuan per student per month. The total amount of basic grants and research grants for full-time non-directional employment doctoral students with basic academic system is 5,000 yuan per student per month. The specific payment amount and procedures are subject to the Student Handbook.

Candidates who apply for targeted employment do not enjoy the above-mentioned funding (except for non-working candidates who apply for minority backbone programs).
Eight, special enrollment plan
(1) Special plan for high-level backbone talents of ethnic minorities
According to the requirements of the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education on the enrollment of high-level backbone talents of ethnic minorities, our school plans to enroll three doctoral students with high-level backbone talents of ethnic minorities, and the specific enrollment number is subject to the plan issued by the state. Candidates are required to submit the Registration Form for Candidates of the National Minority High-level Talents Program in 2023 signed by the targeted employment unit and the Provincial Department of Education and stamped with the official seal to the Admissions Office of the Graduate School of the school before the registration deadline, otherwise they may not take the exam. High-level backbone talents of ethnic minorities shall be dispatched according to the agreed plan when they graduate, and shall not be reassigned.
(2) National key areas urgently need special enrollment plans for high-level personnel training.
In order to optimize the enrollment structure of schools and disciplines, speed up the training of professionals urgently needed by the country, and help the national regional education reform, development and innovation, our school continued to implement the special enrollment plan for high-level talents urgently needed in key areas of the country this year. In order to further promote the reform and innovation of postgraduate enrollment plan management, improve the ability to serve the country's major strategic needs, and explore a new mechanism for scientific research projects to undertake doctoral training, the enrollment instructors of various disciplines in our school continued to implement the special enrollment plan for doctoral students with scientific research funds this year. The enrollment policy refers to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education, and the specific enrollment number is subject to the plan issued by the state. In addition, this year's engineering doctoral students in our school's targeted employment category are all in accordance with the relevant requirements of "Article 5, Paragraph 2" of this enrollment brochure.
(4) Other special enrollment plans.
Other special plans issued by the state, such as the xiong'an new area special enrollment plan, refer to the relevant provisions of the higher authorities such as the Ministry of Education for the enrollment policy, and the specific enrollment number shall be subject to the plan issued by the state.
Nine. Other related matters.
1. Candidates should carefully check whether they meet the requirements before registering, and those who do not meet the requirements are not allowed to take the exam. The integrity of candidates is an important content of ideological and moral assessment and an important basis for admission. Those who fail the ideological and moral assessment will not be admitted.
2. Candidates must authenticate their degrees, academic qualifications and student status information in China Academic Degree and Postgraduate Education Information Network (Academic Degree Network), China Higher Education Student Information Network (Xue Xin Network) or relevant authoritative certification institutions, and obtain certification reports. A degree certificate obtained abroad must be certified by the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education, and a certification report must be obtained. A copy of the certification report should be sent as required, otherwise it will not be reviewed.
3. Candidates with the same academic level must take political theory courses and two postgraduate courses at the examination stage.
4. "On-the-job professional degree graduate" students who have not obtained a master's degree certificate shall be regarded as having the same academic ability and shall not be enrolled as fresh graduates.
5. After registration, candidates' enrollment methods, colleges, majors, research directions, tutors, application categories and other application information will not be modified. Please fill in carefully during the registration stage.
6. All candidates' personal information and application materials submitted online must be accurate and true. Candidates with incomplete or unqualified application materials cannot download and print the admission ticket online. Candidates who cancel their registration due to personal reasons, can't take the exam or are not admitted, the paid registration fees and registration materials will not be refunded.
7. The Ministry of Education does not allow candidates to be admitted as doctoral students by more than two (including two) enrollment units at the same time.
