This school is a university approved by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the provincial offices of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Located in Nanning, China Greentown, it is one of the first batch of key universities in central and western China (Junior 2 1 1).

Founded in 1952, it was originally the Guangxi branch of the Central University for Nationalities (now the Central University for Nationalities), renamed Guangxi University for Nationalities in 1953, and renamed Guangxi University for Nationalities in 1958, and in 2006.

Guangxi University for Nationalities, referred to as "China University for Nationalities", is located in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a university jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the first batch of key universities in the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China, the first-class discipline construction university in Guangxi, and the "Hundred Schools Project" key university.

The China government scholarship institution that accepts international students in China is the National Foreign Language Non-lingua franca Undergraduate Talent Base (Minority Language Talent Base). The National "863 Plan" and "973 Plan" undertake universities and "China-ASEAN Legal Training Base", and are selected as the nine most picturesque universities in China, which are the key universities to be built during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period.
