Guided by four disciplines, namely, ship and marine equipment, marine information, ship power, advanced nuclear energy and nuclear safety, Harbin Engineering University has built a "three seas and one core" professional system with outstanding advantages in the main disciplines, matching generality with basic disciplines, unique cultural management disciplines and reasonable professional structure and layout. At present, there are 14 first-class disciplines, 1032 first-class disciplines, Post-Doctoral Research Center 12, Post-Doctoral Research Center 2, national first-class and second-class key disciplines 1 0, national defense characteristic disciplines 10, and Heilongjiang provincial key disciplines/kloc-0.

At present, there are 37 undergraduate enrollment majors, 7 majors in the Ministry of Education, 7 majors in the education and training plan for outstanding engineers, 7 specialties and key majors in national defense shortage, and 29 provincial-level key majors.
