Nantong University is a full-time undergraduate college. In 2003, Nantong Institute of Technology, Nantong Teachers College and Nantong Medical College merged. All kinds of majors are relatively sound. The employment rate of clinical medicine, mechanical automation and civil engineering is high.

Nantong Vocational College is a junior college. It consists of this campus and Haimen campus. It is relatively good in Nantong colleges, including electronic engineering department, textile department, fine arts department, humanities department, machinery department, construction department, foreign languages department and so on.
