Brief introduction of Jiujiang
Jiujiang belongs to Jiangxi province. Jiujiang, formerly known as Xunyang, Jiangzhou and Chaisang, is a prefecture-level city in Jiangxi Province. It is one of the central cities in Jiangxi Province, a dual-core city with a long history and nine integration, a sub-central city around Poyang Lake, a central port city along the Yangtze River, an important central city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, a fulcrum city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and a regional modern central city in Jiangxi, Hubei, Anhui and Hunan.
Jiujiang is a national historical and cultural city with a history of more than 2,200 years. It is a typical land of plenty in the south of the Yangtze River. It used to be one of the three major tea markets and four major rice markets in China.
Jiujiang is located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Beijing-Kowloon Railway. It is one of the first five cities in China to open to the outside world along the Yangtze River. It is a transitional zone from the eastern coastal development to the central and western regions. Jiujiang City is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, the northernmost part of Jiangxi Province, at the intersection of the Yangtze River, Poyang Lake and Beijing-Kowloon Railway.
