Discipline construction is the core of world-class universities, and discipline construction is the core of creating world-class universities. This paper holds that to build a first-class discipline, we should not only establish corresponding guiding ideology, formulate corresponding plans, create an atmosphere conducive to discipline development, attach importance to personnel training and the construction of teaching staff, and rationally plan and use funds, but also combine the universal law of the development of world-class universities with the historical traditions and characteristics of the school to find a way of discipline construction that conforms to the universal law of the development of world-class universities and its own development characteristics, so as to achieve the goal of first-class discipline construction and create conditions for the creation of world-class universities.
