Postgraduate education in Yangzhou University began in the early 1960s, and it was the first batch of institutions in the State Council authorized to award doctoral and master's degrees. At present, the school has 22 authorized points for doctoral degrees and 47 authorized points for master's degrees in first-class disciplines. There are 2 doctoral degree categories and 9 master degree categories/kloc-0.

There are 2 national key disciplines, 1 national key discipline, 1 national key discipline, 5 provincial dominant disciplines, 1 provincial key sequence disciplines, 6 provincial first-level disciplines and 33 university-level disciplines. There are more than 2,400 doctoral and master's tutors (including off-campus tutors). There are more than 10,000 doctoral and master's degree students, forming a training pattern with different characteristics and coordinated development of degrees and professional degrees.
