Chongqing University was approved as a pilot by the Ministry of Education in 2000, and a graduate school was formally established in 2004. Since 1948, the school has been recruiting graduate students, and it is one of the earliest universities in China to carry out graduate education. 1978, Chongqing University became one of the first units of the Ministry of Education to resume postgraduate enrollment and obtain authorization for master's and doctoral degrees. 198 1 was approved as the first national key discipline of biomechanics in China, and 1988 was approved as the first-class discipline authorized by four doctoral degrees, including mechanical engineering.
The school has more than 2 1000 master's and doctoral students. * * * In the 13th Five-Year Plan, there are three double-class construction disciplines, three national key first-class disciplines, nine national key two disciplines (including two cultivation disciplines) and 38 key disciplines. At present, there are 29 post-doctoral mobile stations, 32 first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 55 first-level disciplines authorized by two disciplines doctoral degrees, 9 professional degree authorization categories, 2 fields authorized by engineering doctors and 26 fields authorized by engineering masters.
There are 36 colleges in the whole school, which provide all-round services for postgraduate training. 1985 was approved as the first batch of pilot schools in China to recruit engineering graduate students. 1993 Gezhouba Graduate School of Chongqing University was established, and the joint training of factories and schools was implemented. The training bases for master of engineering were established successively in Jialing Group, Pangang Group, Xichang Satellite Launch Base and other state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises and national defense military units. In 2002, it became one of the first 33 pilot EMBA institutions in China, and one of the first enrollment schools for master of engineering in the field of software engineering.
In 2002, the school became one of the first universities sponsored by the Ministry of Education to launch the "Innovation Project for Postgraduate Education" and was identified as a pilot unit for comprehensive reform of postgraduate professional degree education in 20 10. By 20 18, the school has been funded by the graduate innovation program of the Ministry of Education for 8 consecutive years.
