China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL)

China University of Political Science and Law was founded in 1952. It is a national key university with distinctive characteristics and advantages, a law school directly under the Ministry of Education, and a university with coordinated development of philosophy, science, economics, management and teaching. It is the national key construction of "2 1 1 project" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform", and is listed in the first batch of "20 1 1 plan", "excellent legal talent education and training". Its predecessor was Beijing University of Political Science and Law, which was formed by the merger of Peking University Law Department, Tsinghua University Politics Department, yenching university Law Department, Politics Department and Fu Jen Catholic University Sociology Department during the adjustment period. 1960 was established as a national key university by the State Council. It was revoked for some reasons during the Cultural Revolution. 1979 reopened for national enrollment. 1983 was renamed "China University of Political Science and Law" under the direct promotion of the Central Committee. The name of the school was inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping. The school is located in Beijing and has two campuses, Fu Xue Road in Changping District and Xueyuan Road in Haidian District. There are no branch schools in any region.
