Necessity of sexual health education for college students
As the most active, open-minded and highest-level group among teenagers, college students' acceptance of emerging knowledge is obviously higher than any other stage, and they are in sexual maturity, and their sexual impulses are often strong and obvious. Therefore, it is very important to carry out sexual health education in universities. With the changes of sexual physiology and psychology, more and more college students show a strong desire for sexual knowledge. However, due to the influence of traditional culture and ideas, college students lack access to scientific knowledge, which is really worrying. According to relevant surveys, nearly 70% of college students have not received formal sexual health education. Through the investigation of the ways for college students to obtain sexual health education, we found that nearly 50% of them would choose to obtain sexual knowledge through the Internet, 26.2% would choose newspapers and books, 14.7% would choose school education, only 4.6% would choose their parents, and the rest would choose other channels. It can be seen that due to the neglect of the importance of sexual health education in colleges and universities, although there are many channels for college students to obtain sexual knowledge, as the mainstream university classroom, it has become a channel with fewer choices, and the educational effect is worrying. The survey data of college students' sexual knowledge shows that 38.4% of boys are higher than 3 1.6% of girls. However, only 12.5% of college students know the definition, nature, transmission route and harm prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, 56.9% do, 27.7% know little, and the rest say they don't know at all.
