The comprehensive evaluation admission method is a more scientific one among the various admission methods of college entrance examination at present. Breaking the lifelong system of the college entrance examination and changing it into a hundred-point system, the results of the college entrance examination only account for 60%, and introducing the ability test of the school to make questions independently ("computer test scores account for 25%+ interview scores account for 5%" and * * * accounts for 30%) and the usual academic performance evaluation ("general academic level evaluation scores account for 7%+ comprehensive quality evaluation accounts for 3%", accounting for1.
However, there are two problems with this admission method. 1 is 63 1, and it is also a score-only admission method that takes into account other factors. That is to say, the school enrolls students from high score to low score according to the comprehensive evaluation score of 63 1, and some students are not admitted because of the high naked score in the college entrance examination, so 3 1 will be evaluated. The second question is whether it is more meaningful to take the average score or the comprehensive score. However, in the environment where most parents still rely on test scores, parents are most concerned about the lowest score in the college entrance examination, which is also the main reference for most parents to choose schools. Not many people compare the core resources such as school-running concept and system, teacher quality, teaching and research conditions, and capital investment intensity. 63 1 Compared with the direct recording method of the college entrance examination, it is actually a method to lower scores. It will admit a group of students who have not scored very high in the college entrance examination, but have outstanding performance in the ability test (or have a considerable level of competition awards) and have always had excellent performance. Some schools even drop to one-line admission, and announce the lowest scores of the college entrance examination for students who have been admitted by comprehensive evaluation, which is unscientific and very unfavorable to schools. So at present, although most of the former 985 schools have this kind of admission method, including Qingbei, and even most students adopt the comprehensive evaluation admission method, they basically won't disclose the bare marks of these students' college entrance examination, and they are secretive about it, for fear that it will damage the image of the school and even be abused by competitors. I feel that South University of Science and Technology has suffered a lot in recent years, but the school is still relatively open, with different degrees of openness.
Finally, look at an example of comprehensive evaluation of the score reduction effect of admission method for naked direct recording method.
According to the online disclosure, in 20 18, the lowest scores of the college entrance examination for students admitted to relevant universities in Guangdong Province were 606 for Nanke University, 572 for HKU, 550 for Zhong Da University and 550 for South China University of Technology. In that year, the college entrance examination directly recorded naked scores and admitted students with the lowest scores. Hong Kong Shenzhong approved direct recording of naked scores of 630, Zhong Da unified recruitment of naked scores of 607 and South China Institute of Technology of 598. South University of Science and Technology did not record naked points directly in that year. As you can see, in the same school in the same year, the lowest score of the college entrance examination is 40~60 points, which is quite different between the students admitted by comprehensive evaluation and the students admitted directly by naked points.
Note: In 20 19, South University of Science and Technology also set aside a small number of places in Guangdong Province (less than 10% of the total enrollment in this province) to conduct a pilot program of direct recording of naked points. Results The lowest score of 63 1 admitted students was 597, and the lowest score was 633.
To sum up, it is indeed realistic for the school not to publish the minimum score of the college entrance examination to comprehensively evaluate and admit candidates. It is hoped that South University of Science and Technology, as the experimental field of China's higher education reform, will be brave in exploring, constantly improve the scientificity of the 63 1 comprehensive evaluation admission in practice, and promote the establishment and improvement of the scientific and standardized information disclosure system of the 63 1 comprehensive evaluation admission method.
