Jiangxi Taihao Animation Vocational College is an institution of higher learning founded by Taihao Company, a top 500 manufacturing enterprise in China, with the approval of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education. It is the key project of "provincial-school cooperation" between Jiangxi Province and Tsinghua University, and the construction project unit of high-level higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province. The school was founded in 2004, formerly known as Jiangxi Taihao Institute of Technology. In 2008, Jiangxi Taihao Animation Vocational College was established. Since the establishment of 16, the College has fully implemented the Party's education policy, always adhered to the socialist direction of running schools and running schools according to law, implemented the fundamental task of educating people with morality, adhered to the principle of public welfare in education, carried out in-depth cooperation between schools and enterprises in the integration of production and education, promoted connotative development, and continuously improved its running strength.

After continuous development and upgrading, the college has been successively approved as a national cultural industry demonstration base, a national creative space, a modern apprenticeship training unit of the Ministry of Education, an innovative experimental zone of talent training mode in Jiangxi Province, a unit in integration of defense and civilian technologies Province, and a "double-qualified" teacher training base of Jiangxi Vocational College. It has three provincial-level scientific research platforms, namely Jiangxi Red Culture and Creative Research Institute, Jiangxi Culture and Art Key Research Base, Taihao Chinese Cultural Exchange Center, Real-time Interactive Virtual Reality Technology Research Center, Virtual Reality Real Scene Data Research Center, VR Application Research and Development Center, AI Application Research and Development Center and Digital Art Research Institute. It is the first vocational college in Jiangxi Province to train VR (Virtual Reality) talents and recruit foreign students. With its distinctive school-running characteristics and remarkable achievements in recent years, it won the title of "Running Vocational Education Satisfied by the People-Top Ten Demonstration Schools of Vocational Education in Jiangxi Province", and the College Science Park was recognized as a provincial university science park by the Science and Technology Department and the Education Department of Jiangxi Province.

The College is adjacent to the provincial government, surrounded by Hu Xiang Ecological Scenic Area and Badashan Renmeihu Scenic Area, with a planned land area of 2,200 mu. There are more than 8,000 students and more than 400 full-time teachers. There are seven departments: International Animation Institute, Huawei ICT Institute, Virtual Reality Institute, Creative Art Institute, Music and Film Art Department, Intelligent Technology Department, Network Economy and Management Department. Discipline and specialty mainly cover literature, engineering, art, management and economics, forming a discipline and specialty system with engineering as the mainstay, cross-integration of various majors and combination of art and technology. The college has nearly 200 training bases inside and outside the school, such as VR training room, virtual reality interactive laboratory, VR innovation center, VR research center and new media content creation training room (VR content production).

Adhering to the integration of production and education and innovative development, the College has carried out school-enterprise cooperation with well-known enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, such as Taihao Company, Huawei, Tencent, JD.COM, Perfect World, Tagus, Cummins and Jiangxi Daily, to further promote the integration of production and education.
