Information and computing science

This major attaches great importance to the combination of modern mathematical theory and computer application ability, and trains specialized technical personnel with good mathematical foundation, basic theories and methods of information science and computing science, strong ability of algorithm analysis, design and software development, and certain computer programming and software development ability. Graduates have the basic ability to engage in scientific research, solve practical problems and design and develop related software in information science, computing science and other fields, and have certain knowledge of economic management. After graduation, I can engage in the development, maintenance and management of information and computer application systems in government agencies, science and technology, education and various enterprises and institutions, and I can also further study for graduate students in the fields of logistics and control, applied mathematics, computer application, communication, finance and economic management.

In addition to public extracurricular courses, this major also includes basic mathematics courses, basic computer courses and a large number of professional elective courses. It mainly includes mathematical analysis, advanced algebra, geometry, probability statistics, mathematical modeling, computer application foundation, algorithm and data structure, discrete mathematics, operating system, information science foundation, numerical analysis, computer graphics, operational research and optimization, computer algorithm design, digital signal processing, database system, data compression technology, mathematical economics, C++ programming, etc. In addition, we will provide students with at least 300 hours of computer hours (excluding graduation design) within four years, so that students can have strong computer application ability.
