School 1938 originated from the Department of Forestry of Yunnan University, and 1958 was founded in Kunming Agriculture and Forestry College. 1973, the Forestry Department of Kunming Agriculture and Forestry College merged with Beijing Forestry College, which moved south to Kunming, to form Yunnan Forestry College.
