Nanjing University of Science and Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Founded in 1953 by China Institute of Military Engineering of China People's Liberation Army (hereinafter referred to as Harbin Institute of Technology). It has experienced the development stages of PLA Artillery Engineering College, East China Engineering College and East China Institute of Technology.
1993 was renamed Nanjing University of Science and Technology. 1995, the school became the first batch of key construction universities in China. In 2000, it approved the establishment of a graduate school; 20 1 1, approved to build the "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform"; 20 17, the school was selected as a "double-first-class" construction university, and the discipline of "armament science and technology" was selected as a "double-first-class" construction discipline;
In 20 18, Academician Wang Zeshan won the highest national science and technology award. In the same year, the school became a university jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province. Entering a new era and starting a new journey, the school adheres to the school philosophy of "people-oriented, virtuous and versatile" and the school motto of "entering Germany to study and strive for innovation".
