Southeast University (Southeast? Southeast University 1902 was founded in Sanjiang Normal School, followed by Liangjiang Normal School and Nanjing Higher Normal School. National Southeast University was founded in 192 1, and was renamed many times. 1928 was named as National Central University. 1952 college departments were adjusted, and the arts and sciences departments of the school moved out. The former School of Engineering of Central University was merged into Fudan University, Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University and Jinling University, and Nanjing Institute of Technology was established in the original site of National Central University. 1988, restore the name of Southeast University. In 2000, it merged with the former Nanjing Railway Medical College, Nanjing Jiaotong University and Nanjing Geological School to form the New Southeast.
