Southeast University is a national key university directly under the Central Committee and the Ministry of Education. It is one of the key universities under the "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project". It was listed as Class A of first-class university construction in 20 17. The school is located in Nanjing, a famous historical and cultural city, covering an area of 5888 mu. There are four campuses: Sipailou, Jiulong Lake and Dingjiaqiao.

Southeast University is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning established in China, and is known as "the Holy Land of Institutions of Higher Learning" and "the first-class institution in Southeast China". The predecessor of Southeast University is Sanjiang Normal School, which was founded in 1902. 192 1 year, National Southeast University was formally established on the basis of Nanjing Normal University under the vigorous advocacy of Mr. Guo Bingwen, a famous educator in modern times, and became one of the only two national comprehensive universities in China at that time. Mr. Guo Bingwen became the first chairman. He visits many famous teachers every week, and dozens of famous scholars and experts gather in Dongda University.
