East China Jiaotong University is a key university in Jiangxi Province. It is a teaching and research university with engineering as the main feature, transportation as the core, and coordinated development of economy, management, literature, science, law, education and art. The school is one of the universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education and one of the participating universities in the "20 1 1 Program" at the provincial level. It is a contracted university in Nanjing Military Region to recruit, select and train reserve officers (national defense students), and it is one of the 50 typical universities with national graduate employment experience announced by the Ministry of Education on 20 12-20 13. Originated from East China Jiaotong University 197 1. At the national conference on education in that year, it was proposed that some majors of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Tongji University should be assigned to Shanghai Railway Institute and renamed East China Jiaotong University. On September 22nd of the same year, the State Council and the Central Military Commission decided to move the school to Jiangxi. 1978, the central government agreed that the former Shanghai Railway Institute would not be relocated, and East China Jiaotong University would continue to establish its school in Nanchang, with the former Ministry of Railways and Jiangxi Province as the main body.
