Chongqing City University of Science and Technology is a full-time private undergraduate college. The school was founded in 2005, formerly known as Chongqing University Town College of Science and Technology. In June 2020, the Ministry of Education approved the transfer to Chongqing City Institute of Science and Technology.
The school has two campuses, Yongchuan and Banan (under construction), which are located at the foot of Chashan, the foot of Zhuhai and the higher vocational city of Banan District, a famous scenic spot in Yongchuan, with more than 27,000 students. The school has seven secondary colleges: School of Architecture Management, School of Civil Engineering, School of Architecture, School of Electrical Information, School of Economics and Management, School of Arts and Humanities, and Department of Ideological and Political Theory.

The school has successively carried out "3+2" counterpart training projects with Chongqing Vocational College of Science and Technology, Chongqing Vocational College of Building Technology and Chongqing Vocational College of Communications, carried out inter-school exchange activities with Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences, and carried out inter-school and school-enterprise cooperation with Yongchuan commerce and trade industry;
We cooperated with Yisheng He Yi, Chongqing Qiujing Engineering Cost Co., Ltd. and held international classes with Chongqing Branch of New Channel International Education Group.
