Henan University of Science and Technology (HUST), located in Luoyang City, Henan Province, is a university jointly established by the Bureau of Science and Technology for National Defense and the People's Government of Henan Province. It is a key university supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China, a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, one of the three key comprehensive universities in Henan Province, a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, and a governing university of "Silk Road University Alliance".
The school was established in the capital Beijing, 1952. 1956, in order to meet the needs of the construction and layout of the national industrial base, it was moved to Luoyang, and later renamed Luoyang Institute of Technology, which belongs to the Ministry of Machinery Industry. 1998, under the management of Henan province.
