Retired soldiers in colleges and universities who have served in the army for more than 5 years (inclusive) refer to retired soldiers who participated in the national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities and enlisted in the army during their school days, served for more than 5 years (inclusive), resumed their studies after retirement, or participated in the national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities and enlisted in the army for more than 5 years (inclusive) after graduation.

When retired soldiers from colleges and universities who have served in the army for more than 5 years (inclusive) participate in the qualification review, they should provide the China People's Liberation Army NCO Retirement Certificate (or the Chinese People's Armed Police Force NCO Retirement Certificate) and the original and photocopy of the college graduation certificate recognized by the state to the qualification review unit.
