Physics is a national key construction discipline of "2 1 1 engineering". It has a national basic science research and teaching talent training base, a national physics experimental teaching demonstration center and a physics postdoctoral research station. Doctoral and master's degree programs in physics (including theoretical physics, optics, particle physics and nuclear physics, atomic and molecular physics, plasma physics, condensed matter physics, radio physics, oil and gas dynamics and detection technology, nano-material physics and technology 10), in which theoretical physics, optics and condensed matter physics are listed as national key discipline construction projects in Shaanxi Province, and atomic and molecular physics and plasma physics. Four undergraduate majors (Physics, Optical Information Science and Technology, Applied Physics, materials physics), in which Physics and Optical Information Science and Technology are famous brands in Shaanxi Province and Physics is a national major. It has the National International Cooperation Base of Optoelectronic Technology and Functional Materials and Their Applications, the Cultivation Base of the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Technology and Functional Materials jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Innovative Experimental Zone for Training Innovative Talents in Physics in Shaanxi Province, the Provincial Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Technology in Shaanxi Province and the Shaanxi All-solid-state Laser and Applied Engineering Technology Research Center (13 165438). In the long-term development of the teaching staff, under the guidance of academicians Zhang and Hou, the physics discipline has formed an academic team with the combination of old, young and Chinese as the representatives of academic backbones such as Qiao Xueguang, Bai Jintao, Jiang, Qu, Zheng Shengmao, Ren Zhaoyu and Professor Hu Manli. Physics has faculty members 106, including 2 double-hired academicians, 38 senior titles and doctoral supervisors 16. In 2007, it approved the establishment of all-solid-state laser and applied engineering technology research center, in 2008, it approved the establishment of Shaanxi characteristic specialty construction site, in 2008, it approved the establishment of national physics experiment teaching demonstration center, and in 2008, it approved the establishment of national physics college characteristic specialty construction site. "Photophysics Science and Technology" is listed as the key construction discipline in the third phase of the national "2 1 1 Project". In 2008, three two disciplines were listed as the national key discipline cultivation discipline construction projects in Shaanxi Province. Particle physics and nuclear physics, atomic and molecular physics and plasma physics are listed as key construction disciplines in Shaanxi Province. In 2009, the National Optoelectronic Technology and Functional Materials International Cooperation Base was approved to be established.
