2. Introduction of Taiyuan University of Technology

Taiyuan University of Technology, referred to as "Taiyuan Institute of Technology", is located in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It is a national "world-class discipline construction university", a national "2 1 1 engineering" key construction university, the first batch of "excellent engineer education and training plan" universities of the Ministry of Education, and a member unit of China-Russia Engineering University Alliance and CDIO Engineering Education Alliance. Selected into the national "11/plan", the national public graduate program for building high-level universities, the national innovation experiment program for college students, the national innovation and entrepreneurship training program for college students, the government scholarship receiving institution for foreign students in China, the China "Hundred Schools Project" pilot institution as shown by the data of the Ministry of Education, the national new engineering research and practice project, the national innovative talent training demonstration base, and the national innovation and entrepreneurship of practical education in colleges and universities.

Founded in 1902, the school is one of the first three national universities in China. After passing through the Engineering Department of Shanxi University and the Engineering Department of Shanxi University, it was independently established on 1953 and named Taiyuan University of Technology, directly under the Ministry of Higher Education. 1962 belongs to Shanxi province. 1984 was renamed Taiyuan University of Technology. 1997 Taiyuan University of Technology and Shanxi Mining Institute directly under the Ministry of Coal founded by 1958 merged to form Taiyuan University of Technology.
