According to the entrance English test scores, it is generally divided into three grades. Students in the first class learn English from compulsory courses, and can only take CET-4 next semester. Students in Class Two begin to learn from compulsory class two, and they can take CET-4 in the last semester of their sophomore year. Students in Class III can take the CET-4 in the second semester of freshman year.
However, the restrictions on applying for CET-4 and CET-6 have been relaxed a lot, so as long as you are good at English, even if you are assigned to a slow class because you failed in the joint exam, you can still apply in advance. So, don't worry too much about the English entrance exam, but study hard and try to get good grades.
