Can college students take medical insurance reimbursement for wisdom teeth extraction?
Legal analysis: the cost of tooth extraction belongs to the scope of medical insurance reimbursement, while filling teeth and inserting teeth do not belong to the scope of medical insurance reimbursement. College students participate in social security according to the medical insurance of local urban residents.

Tooth extraction needs to be reported. At present, the expenses of tooth filling (using basic materials), tooth extraction and treatment of periodontal diseases and gingivitis have been included in the medical insurance, but the insured's dental care, tooth washing, denture implantation (including dental implants), light-cured tooth filling, porcelain teeth, orthodontics, mottled tooth treatment and tooth beauty cannot be reimbursed. Cosmetic treatment (such as tooth washing) and filling with imported materials will not be reimbursed.

Legal basis: Article 28 of the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) conforms to the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, medical service facilities standards and emergency and rescue medical expenses, and shall be paid from the basic medical insurance fund in accordance with state regulations.
