When he saw all the children of the same age go to school, he longed for himself to go to school happily with them one day with his schoolbag on his back. However, he knows that this normal thing for other children is an extravagant hope for him. His parents looked for many schools, but when they learned about his situation, they all refused. Finally, the headmaster of a school promised to accept him. Lv Zhengqing, 8, was very happy when he heard the news. He made up his mind to study hard. In this way, he chose to be strong and embarked on a difficult road to study. In the summer of 2006, with the perseverance of self-improvement, he knocked on the door of Henan University of Technology. At the first class meeting after entering school, the class teacher asked the students to talk about their college life planning and life ideals. Lu Zhengqing's words are simple and loud: "I don't want to be a burden to society, but I want to change my destiny with knowledge and realize my own value with hard work."
After four years in college, Lu Qing is building her seemingly simple ideal with the spirit of self-improvement. He knows that for him, only knowledge can change fate and realize the value of life. To this end, he studied eagerly. In addition to studying professional courses, he also taught himself many courses such as computer and success. On weekdays, he spends all his time studying. One of his classmates once said: "You can always find an honest figure in class, and his background of efforts has become a landscape of Henan University of Technology." No matter whether the weather is cold or hot, windy or rainy, Lv Zhengqing will go to school building 9 to read English at 7: 00 every morning on time. In the evening, he always studies until the classroom lights out before going back to rest. In the physics laboratory, he stayed for three or four hours, and his legs were numb. Because of illness, my right hand is not very flexible, so I wrote with my left hand since I was a child. Nevertheless, he always finishes his homework on time. Neat and clean homework has been praised by teachers again and again, and it has become a "model" for teachers to inspire other students. When reviewing for the postgraduate entrance examination, he often studies in Room 4427, Building 9 of the school. There is a clear mark on the wall outside the classroom because the wheelchair has to be taken and put several times a day. This is the growth track of Lu's self-improvement, and it is also a trace of encouraging students of Henan University of Technology to study hard.
There is always a reward for giving. In the four years of college, Lu has made remarkable achievements through hard work: he passed CET-4, CET-6 and CET-4 at one time; Received many national scholarships and school scholarships; He was named "Top Ten People of the Year of Henan University of Technology", "Top Ten Self-improvement Models of Henan University of Technology" and "Three Good Students of Henan University of Technology". His strength and hard work actually inspired the whole class. His class has been rated as "Excellent Class Collective of Henan University of Technology" and "Excellent Class Collective of Henan Province". Of the 28 students in the class, 14 signed up for the postgraduate entrance examination, and 12 was admitted, among which 9 were admitted by famous universities such as China University of Science and Technology and Sun Yat-sen University. Many admitted students said that Lu's spirit of self-improvement gave them great encouragement and motivation.
"Nothing, lose weight, you will be more handsome."
Anyone who has seen Lu knows that he is an optimistic and open-minded sunshine boy. Cheerful personality and hearty laughter are the deepest impressions he left for everyone. In the interview, his classmates told reporters: "Lv Zhengqing's optimism makes every classmate in our class know what is real calmness and what is real self-improvement." On the long way to school, Lv Qing will bear more psychological and physical pressure than others, but he always faces it calmly. The students all say that he is innocent and lovely and easy to get along with. In class, he always brings happiness to everyone. "At the class meeting, he can enliven the atmosphere in various ways. Anyone who has troubles in life and study is willing to talk to him, and he is willing to share things with him. " Students believe that they have a strong heart and an optimistic and positive spirit.
When I first went to college, my classmates were afraid of hurting Lu Zhengqing by mistake, so they were careful when talking to him, and even deliberately avoided talking to him about health. At a class meeting with the theme of "How to adapt to college life", YuGe, a student, said in his speech: "You should actively exercise and take part in more physical activities to ensure a healthy body." As soon as his voice fell, all the other students winked at him. He realized that he might have overlooked Lu's feelings and seemed embarrassed. His classmates have many optimistic stories about it. On one occasion, his class held a grand prix for young college singers. Lu found the monitor and volunteered: "I'll take charge of the sound. Please rest assured that the leaders will ensure the completion of the task! " His humorous "oath" attracted the hearty laughter of his classmates. In his junior year, Lu began to gain weight, from the original 140 kg to 160 kg. He was afraid of adding burden to his classmates who carried him up and down the stairs, so he tried to lose weight. During that time, he only ate a small amount of rice and vegetarian dishes at noon every day, and endured hunger at night without eating. The classmates are very distressed by him, afraid that his body can't stand it. Lu Qing said with a smile: "Nothing, losing weight will be more handsome."
"I want to do something for everyone."
Lu has always been cared for by schools, teachers and classmates. In his own words: "I always accept help from others." After entering Henan University of Technology, under the care of school leaders, Lv Qing got a lot of help from the school. Freshman can't get a library card when he first enters the school for military training, but the school makes an exception and allows him to study in the library. In order to facilitate Lu's study, some teachers have adjusted their class plans and arrangements. Students in the class also formed a support group to help him every day for four years. In four years, all the boys in the class have carried Lu except three girls. It has almost become a part of students' daily life to help him print his study materials and go through the formalities of borrowing and returning books. What moved Lu most was that when he needed help, there were teachers or classmates by his side all the time. In 2009, he met a graduate of Henan University of Technology when he participated in the postgraduate re-examination in Beijing. Lu didn't know him, but the senior enthusiastically said to Lu, "I know you. I am now a graduate student at China Renmin University. Just ask me if you have anything. " On the campus of Henan University of Technology, there are many people who care about Lu silently like this.
In the face of everyone's concern, Lu understands that returning love with love is his best way of gratitude. He said that he has been thinking about "doing something for everyone." "I silently told myself to exercise well first and give my classmates less trouble." Lu keeps in mind the ideal of "changing fate with knowledge" and insists on the belief of "not wanting to be a burden to society". In order to restore muscle strength, he stipulated to do two hours of rehabilitation training every day and four hours in winter and summer vacations. Sometimes, after a day of rehabilitation training, pain and fatigue make him feel a little overwhelmed, but the next day, he will still bite his teeth and insist. He usually helps his classmates as much as possible. For example, he uses his own advantages to help his classmates learn computer knowledge and repair computer technology. Considering that students are prone to get angry when looking for a job or taking the postgraduate entrance examination, he brought his hometown specialty Dongling tea to his classmates. Despite his poor family background, Lu never defaulted on tuition fees and left the opportunity of student loans to other students. He said there were people who needed help more than he did.
