The first half of the semester is almost over, and we are busy preparing for the upcoming mid-term exam. I believe I will do well, because I have studied hard and have a good grasp of the subjects I have studied. But the biggest gain is that I learned to organize myself and my study. In middle school, I was not a disciplined student; I do what I like best, and I don't pay much attention to my homework until the exam, because it is not a big deal for me to pass the exam at that time. But things are different now. Unless you read your homework carefully in advance, what the teacher said in class is not easy to understand. So I learned to plan my time and finish everything as planned. I dare say that I am as good as other students except for one aspect-English.

English has always been my hardest time. From the beginning, our English teacher explained everything in English. Because we didn't have much listening practice in high school, I had difficulty in understanding her lecture, and I still have difficulty. Besides, she asked us to recite the text. You know very well that I'm not good at remembering things. So now I spend almost all my free time learning English. But don't worry, my teacher says I'm making progress and I'll catch up with others soon.
