Peking University University of Economics undertakes national social science fund projects and educational projects, and 24 Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Planning Funds. In 2002, Peking University School of Economics became the unit with the largest number of national social science fund projects at the level of liberal arts departments of Peking University. At the beginning of 2003, President Liu Wei was responsible for applying for the project "2 1 1", the title of which was "Theory and Practice of Socialist Market Economy".

Peking University School of Economics has undertaken a large number of vertical and horizontal research projects, including the National Social Science Fund, the National Natural Science Fund and the Ministry of Education projects, especially two "major social science research projects of the Ministry of Education". 20 1 1 year, the research funding of the School of Economics exceeded170,000 yuan, and it is one of the few schools in the School of Economics of a comprehensive university in China whose research funding exceeded 10 million yuan.

Peking University School of Economics has undertaken a large number of important scientific research projects, including national social science foundation projects, national natural science foundation projects, key social science research projects of the Ministry of Education, and research projects commissioned by provincial ministries and famous institutions at home and abroad. Its research results have great influence on China's economic reform and social development. Since 1996, college teachers have published more than 240 monographs, translations, teaching materials and reference books, and published about 1 100 papers, among which about 350 papers have been published in core journals, and 23 works and 16 papers have won national, provincial and ministerial awards. Works awards mainly include Sun Economic Works Award, National Social Science Foundation Award, Beijing Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation Award of the Ministry of Education, and the Third China University Outstanding Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences. Thesis awards mainly include China's "Eighth Five-Year Plan" Science and Technology Achievement Award, An Zijie's International Trade Research Paper Award, Peking University Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award, and National Real Estate Outstanding Paper Award. These scientific researches have played an active role in the theory and practice of China's reform and development.

Since 1996, Peking University Education Department has published 326 monographs, translations and teaching materials, published 764 papers in core journals and undertaken 97 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, making it one of the departments with the largest number of social science fund projects. The School of Economics is the first college in China to set up a postdoctoral mobile station in economics. It is the first college in China to implement the continuous reading system for graduate students and doctors. It is the only college that ranks first in the national education and national economic talent training base for two consecutive times.

Every year, there are about 10 freshmen in the School of Economics, and the top five students in each province choose the School of Economics, accounting for 1/4. After graduation, 40% of our graduates study in China, 20% in the United States, Britain, Canada and other countries, and 40% are employed by the central government, ministries and commissions in the State Council, provincial and municipal authorities, banks and foreign-funded enterprises. Over the years, the School of Economics has delivered tens of thousands of outstanding talents for national and social development.

In addition to intense and orderly study, the extracurricular life of students in the School of Economics is also colorful. Students' solid knowledge, good interpersonal relationships and superb organizational and leadership skills have been highly recognized and appreciated by Peking University and all walks of life.

The School of Economics has delivered tens of thousands of outstanding talents for national economic construction and social development, and its graduates enjoy a high reputation at home and abroad. The main destinations are: ministries and commissions, provincial and municipal authorities, major banks and branches, Chinese and foreign-funded enterprises and other multinational companies in the State Council.

The information center includes the college website, computer room and computer group. Computer rooms and computer groups are convenient for students and teachers to make full use of network resources and provide hardware resources for multimedia teaching. The website of School of Economics is not only a window for external publicity, but also a platform for interaction between teachers and students. It also has many functions, such as information release and electronic resource download. "China economy in the eyes of foreign ambassadors to China" lecture series;

A series of lectures on "China's economy in the eyes of foreign ambassadors to China" jointly sponsored by Peking University University of Economics and Peking University Department of International Cooperation started in April 2005 and ended successfully in May 2006, which lasted for one year and caused great repercussions both inside and outside the school. Eight ambassadors from the United States, Germany, Sweden, Canada, Britain, Australia, Switzerland and Israel came to Peking University successively and gave wonderful speeches to the students. After collecting the ambassadors' speeches, the Foreign Affairs Office of the School of Economics officially published the book China's Economy in the Eyes of Ambassadors to China in April 2007, which is a bilingual book.

Lecture series of "Financial Executives Forum":

Peking University University of Economics has been devoted to the research and discussion of economic theory. On the other hand, in order to better combine theory with practice and provide a broader international perspective for teachers and students, the School of Economics began to hold a series of lectures on "Financial Executive Forum" in March 2006, inviting corporate executives and elites to give wonderful speeches. Up to now, the lecturers have included chief economists or senior leaders of well-known enterprises at home and abroad, such as CICC, World Bank, McKinsey, Peregrine, Goldman Sachs Group, Asian Development Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Credit Suisse, Woori Bank, International Monetary Fund and BP.

In February 2004, the School of Economics signed a cooperation agreement with the China Center for Economic Research of Peking University. Professors and associate professors of the Economic Research Center are all employed as part-time teachers of the School of Economics, and students of the School of Economics and the Economic Research Center can choose courses from each other, thus integrating teaching and research resources and forming a strong lineup of economic disciplines. Wu Jinglian, Wu Shuqing, Xiao Zhuoji, Yan Zhijie, Liu Wei, Sun Qixiang, Lin Yifu, Wen Hai and other well-known scholars have all taught in the School of Economics. The School of Economics is an international and open school with extensive international exchanges. At present, there are 12 1 international students from different countries and regions studying in the School of Economics. Every year, world-renowned economists come to the School of Economics to give lectures, and many teachers and students go to various countries and regions in the world to study, visit, give lectures and further their studies.
