After the project declaration and comprehensive evaluation, the jury selected the top ten new archaeological discoveries in China in 20021year by online voting. Song Xinchao, deputy director of National Cultural Heritage Administration, attended the subsequent press conference and announced that 10 new projects were selected, including Piluo Site in Daocheng, Sichuan, Huangshan in Nanyang, Hunan, Jigaocheng in Lixian, Shang Gang in Tengzhou, Sanxingdui in Guanghan, Sichuan, Zhengjiahu Cemetery in Yunmeng, Hubei, Xijiang Village Tomb in Shaanxi, Tuguhun Mausoleum in Wuwei, Gansu, Tuduke Fengqing in Yuliku, Xinjiang, and Mingzhongdu Site in Fengyang, Anhui.
Being selected as one of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in China in 20021year is a vivid explanation of the origin of human beings, the development trend of prehistoric culture and Chinese civilized behavior, and the process of China's unification of pluralistic autocracy, showing the rich, profound and long-standing Chinese civilized behavior.
