Liverpool International College is the original site of the College of Preparatory Studies and Languages of Liverpool University. Now the preparatory course of Liverpool University has been undertaken by Kaplan Group. Therefore, the preparatory course of the University of Liverpool has nothing to do with the University of Liverpool, but rents a place with great profits. Liverpool International College is located in the campus of Liverpool University, in the southwest corner of the school.
The results were mixed. The advantage of (1) is that Kaplan currently undertakes preparatory departments of several universities. If you study hard in this preparatory class, you may be admitted to a better university, not just Liverpool University. (2) The disadvantage is that the preparatory course belongs to Kaplan Group, and it is impossible for them to guarantee that everyone can be admitted to Liverpool University. Many students didn't get enough grades and were transferred to universities with lower rankings. When the preparatory course was originally owned by Liverpool University, it often guaranteed a high enrollment rate.
To sum up, about 5% of the students who have graduated from matriculation can go to a better school, about 50% can study at the University of Liverpool, and 45% will transfer to Coventry, which ranks around 70.
