According to official website of China Southern Airlines University, China Southern Airlines cooperated with Cranfield University in the UK to hold a master's degree education program in aviation engineering (aviation manufacturing), with the City University of London in the UK to hold an undergraduate education program in automation, and with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia to hold an undergraduate education program in transportation. Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, founded in June 1952, is one of the earliest aviation institutions of higher learning in New China.
