Kansai University, or KGU for short, is a famous private university, located between Osaka and Kobe in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. Founded in 1889 by Reverend Walter Russell Lambs, an American educator, belongs to Protestant Christianity. TOP 15, one of the four famous universities in western Japan (Kansai University, Kansai College University, Tongshe University and Ritsumeikan University), is a comprehensive private university with eleven universities and ten research departments, and is recognized as an "aristocratic university" in Kansai, Japan. The employment rate of its business and economics departments ranks among the top three in Japanese universities all year round.
