Qingdao University is located in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao. The campus is located on the coast of the Yellow Sea and at the foot of Fushan Mountain, with beautiful environment and pleasant climate. It has a profound cultural heritage and a strong flavor of the times. Qingdao University, formerly a private Qingdao University, was founded in 1924. The school has experienced the historical periods of National Qingdao University and National Shandong University. Famous educators Yang Zhensheng and Zhao Taimou, famous scholars Wen Yiduo, Shen Congwen and Liang Shiqiu once taught here, and famous poet Cang Kejia and founding father Luo Ronghuan once studied here. 1956, the Medical College of Shandong University was established independently and named Qingdao Medical College. Shandong University 1958 moved to Jinan, the provincial capital. Later, the then Shandong provincial government reported to the State Education Commission for approval and rebuilt Qingdao University on 1985. From 65438 to 0993, Qingdao University merged with Qingdao Medical College, Shandong Textile Vocational and Technical College and Qingdao Normal College, completing the historical connection and entering a new development period.

The school has 22 colleges, 86 undergraduate majors, 156 postgraduate majors and 27 doctoral majors, covering 10 disciplines such as literature, history, philosophy, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law and teaching, as well as international Chinese education, art, engineering, clinical medicine, stomatology and so on.

There are more than 38,000 full-time students, including 3 1 0,000 undergraduates, 5,000 doctoral and master students and nearly 1 0,000 international students.
