With the rapid development of modern information technology, especially the Internet, the means of distance education in RTVU have undergone a qualitative change. The Ministry of Education's Action Plan for Revitalizing Education Facing the 2 1 Century proposes to implement the "Modern Distance Education Project", form an open education network and build a lifelong learning system. As an important part of modern distance education project and an important experiment of talent training mode reform, the Ministry of Education decided to implement the project of "Training Mode Reform and Open Education Pilot of Central Radio and TV University" in 1999, and Gansu Radio and TV University became the first school to start the pilot that year. Gansu Radio and TV University has not only made a qualitative leap in the modernization of transmission means, but also formed a more open school-running form and teaching method through the reform of talent training mode and the pilot of open education. Taking the pilot project of our college as the main object, the object is open: students enter the school to participate in the entrance level test organized by the school, and give students hierarchical and classified guidance according to the entrance level test; Open process: the implementation of a complete credit system, students according to their actual situation to develop their own learning plans and progress, arrange their own learning time; Realize the opening of resources: students choose their own learning resources independently, and the school provides necessary support services. In terms of teaching methods, a modern distance education teaching mode has been formed, which is mainly composed of six kinds of media, such as text teaching materials, audio-visual teaching materials, Web, computer CD-ROM, online on-demand and satellite live classroom, supplemented by six interactive teaching methods, such as face-to-face, telephone answering, email, BBS discussion, language mailbox and two-way closed-circuit control TV system.
