Measures for the implementation of undergraduate major change in South China Agricultural University (South China Agricultural Office No.201549)
Article 1 In order to implement the educational policy of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, embody the student-oriented educational concept, build a diversified talent training model, respect students' individual development needs, and fully mobilize students' enthusiasm and initiative in learning, according to "Several Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Higher Education" (Jiao Gao [2012] No.4) and "Opinions of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education on Implementing Credit System Management in Ordinary Colleges and Universities" (Yue Jiao Gao [2]
Article 2 Students who apply to change their major must be ordinary full-time undergraduates in our school and meet the following basic conditions:
(1) Having attended school for one semester;
(two) excellent political and ideological performance, good conduct, physical conditions meet the requirements of the major selection;
(three) during the school period, he has not been warned or punished above;
(4) Not changing majors during school.
Article 3 Under any of the following circumstances, you may not change your major:
(1) When enrolling students, it has been clearly stipulated that students cannot change majors, including students majoring in orientation, national defense, art and physical education;
(2) Admission of students with special requirements in advance;
(three) the graduating class students who implement the academic year system, and the students who implement the credit system and have completed more than two-thirds of the total credits stipulated in the teaching plan;
(four) other unfair, fair and open conflict with the provisions of the superior documents.
Article 4 In principle, the number of students transferred from other majors in each major shall not be less than 5% of the number of first-year students in this major. Majors with rich educational resources can increase the proportion of students from other majors. In principle, the number of transfers in each college shall not exceed 15% of the actual enrollment in the first year of the college.
Article 5 All majors should formulate and publish clear requirements and selection methods for transfer students according to their professional characteristics, and report them to the Academic Affairs Office for the record. The selection and admission work should be open, fair and just.
Article 6 The school shall set up a leading group for undergraduates of South China Agricultural University to change their majors, headed by the leaders of the branch campuses and composed of the heads of the academic affairs office, the student affairs office, the enrollment and employment office, the supervision office and other relevant departments. The college has set up a working group for undergraduate students to change their major, headed by the main person in charge of the college, and composed of deputy secretary of the party Committee, vice president in charge of teaching and other relevant personnel.
Article 7 Transfer to a professional program
(a) at the end of the first semester of each academic year, the number of transfer students from other majors shall be approved and announced by the Academic Affairs Office.
(2) Students who apply for changing majors apply through the academic affairs system in the first week of the corresponding semester, fill in the Application Form for Undergraduates of South China Agricultural University, and submit it to the Academic Affairs Office for review.
(3) The Academic Affairs Office summarizes the application forms for students to change majors according to their wishes, and then sends them to the colleges where students apply to change majors. The transfer college will assess the students who apply to change their majors, determine the list of students to be transferred, and clearly suggest the grades and classes to be transferred (for example, students with learning difficulties in the same grade are suggested to be downgraded after comprehensive evaluation), and submit them to the Academic Affairs Office after publicity. The Academic Affairs Office summarizes the list of students to be transferred from various colleges and submits it to the leading group of South China Agricultural University for approval and publication.
(4) After publicity, if there is no objection, students who have decided to change their majors will be transferred to the college for registration in the third week of the corresponding semester with the Notice of Undergraduates Changing their Major issued by the Academic Affairs Office.
(five) after the students report to the transferred institutions, the receiving institutions are responsible for their school status, management and other related work, and the students' original institutions should promptly hand over the students' academic achievements and other archival materials to the transferred institutions; Before registration, the relevant management work shall be undertaken by the college where the original major is located.
Article 8 Students who change majors should be trained according to the training plan for changing majors. The core courses that have been offered in the major should be supplemented. Courses that students have taken and passed before changing majors, such as similar contents and credits not lower than the requirements of similar courses for changing majors, can be directly recognized as similar courses after being recognized by the college and the Academic Affairs Office; Courses that are not transferred to the courses set by the professional talent training plan or are lower than the credit requirements for transferring to similar courses can only be recorded as public elective credits.
Article 9 Receiving institutions shall be responsible for arranging special personnel to guide students majoring in transfer to make up relevant courses, and choose courses according to the training plan for new professionals. All colleges should do a good job in changing the status of students and the relationship between the party and the masses in a timely manner, and at the same time do a good job in ideological work for students who are not approved to apply for majors.
Article 10 After changing majors, tuition fees shall be charged according to the standards for changing majors.
Article 11 Other provisions.
(1) If a student fails to report for duty within the time limit, or is warned and punished above before reporting for duty, or it is verified that the student's application for changing majors is false, his qualification for changing majors will be cancelled.
(2) According to the development and changes of social demand for talents, schools can appropriately adjust students' majors with the consent of students.
Article 12 The Academic Affairs Office shall be responsible for the interpretation of these Measures.
Thirteenth these Measures shall come into force as of the date of promulgation. "Implementation Measures for Undergraduates of South China Agricultural University to Change Major (Trial)" (South China Agricultural Office [2006] No.37) shall be abolished at the same time.
