Nankai University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education and the alma mater of beloved Premier Zhou Enlai. The school started in 1904 and was established in 19 19. It was founded by Yan Xiu and Zhang Boling, modern patriotic educators, adhering to the idea of saving the country through education.
1937 The school moved south and jointly established the National Changsha Temporary University with Peking University and Tsinghua. /kloc-moved to Kunming in 0/938 and changed its name to National Southwest Associated University. 1946 returned to Tianjin to resume school and changed to national.
1952 after the adjustment of departments in colleges and universities nationwide, the school has become a national key university with equal emphasis on arts and sciences. Since the reform and opening up, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Tianjin Institute of Construction, the school has developed into a comprehensive research university focusing on the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".
From 2065438 to September 2005, after the new campus was completed and put into use, the school-running pattern of Balitai Campus, Jinnan Campus and TEDA Campus was initially formed. 2065438+September 2007, the school was selected as a national "double-class" construction university.
