Academic works and papers have won many awards, such as "Excellent Academic Works Award of National University Press" by the State Education Commission and outstanding social science achievements by Hubei Provincial People's Government. Performing arts works such as art, music and dance created by teachers and students have won many provincial and ministerial awards. At the same time, the art department has made great efforts to tap the potential and bring the art education of all college students into the standardized track of quality education. At present, he has undertaken many courses such as drama, film and television, music, dance and art theory. The Department of Art has also made great efforts to establish professional practice bases for students, including CCTV, China Education TV, China Record Company, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, Hubei TV and Wuhan TV. Among them, Zhong Shi Film and Television Production Co., Ltd., a CCTV international production company, not only established Wuhan University's "Zhong Shi Film and Television" practice base, but also set up special scholarships to sponsor art undergraduates. The Department of Art has actively carried out academic exchanges with foreign countries, established friendly and cooperative relations with famous universities or scientific research institutions such as Jacksonville State University, University of Illinois, Cornell University, Moscow Art Institute and Taiwan Academia Sinica, and sent visiting scholars to each other for many times.
