Jiangsu University, located in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, is a national key university jointly established by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, China People's Government, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It is a Class A construction university in the "Jiangsu Province High-level University Construction Peak Plan" and was selected as the first batch of universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education and the "National Key Discipline Project".

The history of the school can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal School founded by Liu Kunyi and Zhang Zhidong in 1902. Nanjing University and Nanjing Institute of Technology continue their string songs. 1960 Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) independently established Zhenjiang Agricultural Machinery College. 19866 was identified as one of the 88 key universities in China by the State Council in 1978.

As of February 2023, the school campus covers an area of more than 3,000 mu, with a building area of10.2 million square meters; There are 27 colleges and 98 undergraduate majors; There are 15 first-class doctoral programs, 45 first-class master programs, 2 1 master programs, and 13 post-doctoral research stations.
