According to official website of China Meteorological Bureau, in 2023, China Meteorological Bureau entrusted Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology and Chengdu University of Information Science and Technology to recruit undergraduates majoring in atmospheric science in Jiangxi Province, aiming at accelerating the introduction and training of meteorological talents. The former will enroll 6 students, while the latter will enroll 4 students. After graduation, each student will be assigned to work in the corresponding orientation unit with a minimum service life of 6 years. Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology atmospheric science major is one of the only two A+ majors in China, and the admitted students will get a stable graduation opportunity in preparation for the exam and package distribution.
