Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is one of the key universities in China. Starting from 1950, the school started a training course for postal personnel at the original site of the General Post Office of the Ministry of Communications during the Anti-Japanese War. On this basis, Southwest Post and Telecommunications Sub-office, chongqing post and telecommunications School and Chongqing Telecom School were successively held. 1959 was named Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications by the State Council, and started undergraduate education; 1965 became one of the 10 universities in Sichuan province to recruit graduate students at that time. During the "Cultural Revolution", 1970 was transformed into the No.529 Factory of the General Administration of Telecommunications, 1973 was transformed into the Ninth Research Institute of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and 1979 resumed operation.
