Brief introduction of Beijing Normal University:

Beijing Normal University is a famous institution with the main features of teacher education, educational science and basic disciplines of arts and sciences. Ranked in the top two, 985 project, 2 1 1 project, one of the first ten key universities in the 785.

The predecessor of the school is Shi Jing University Teachers College, which was founded in 1902.

1908 was renamed as Shi Jing Excellent Normal School and was established independently.

19 12 was renamed as Beijing Normal University.

1923, the school was renamed as Beijing Normal University, becoming the first normal university in the history of China.

193 1, 1952, Beiping Women's Normal University and Fu Jen Catholic University were successively merged into Beijing Normal University, and Chairman Mao wrote the name of Beijing Normal University.

On the occasion of the centenary celebration in 2002, the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipality decided to focus on the construction of Beijing Normal University.
