Shanghai Maritime University is a multi-disciplinary university featuring shipping, logistics and ocean, with disciplines such as engineering, management, economics, law, literature, science and art. It is also the first university to obtain the quality system certificate of China people's seafarers' education and training and the ISO900 1 quality assurance issued by the Norwegian Bureau of Classification.

It was selected into the National Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, the scholarship receiving institution of the China Municipal Government for overseas students in China and the first batch of demonstration universities in Shanghai to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. The school was originally a university directly under the Ministry of Transport, and was placed under the management of Shanghai in 2000. 4. Shanghai Customs College

Shanghai Customs College is a full-time general institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education and directly under the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. It is a pilot unit to train graduate students for bachelor's degree-granting units and a national project to train talents with special needs.

5. School of Information Security Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University

The School of Information Security Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University was established in June, 2000. It is the first national training base for information security professionals co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and trains senior information security professionals with different academic levels, including undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students.

It is not only the first batch of pilot units jointly established by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the State Council Academic Degree Office, but also the training base for senior information security professionals in the National 863 Industrialization (East) Base. It provides a strong guarantee for accelerating the research and industrialization of information security in China and cultivating the information security professionals in short supply in China.
