First, the history of our school:
1978 10, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai No.1 Electromechanical Bureau, Shanghai No.2 Electromechanical Bureau, Shanghai Shipbuilding Bureau, Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Shanghai Changning District People's Government jointly established the Electromechanical Branch of Shanghai Jiaotong University. East China Textile Vocational and Technical College, Shanghai Textile Industry Bureau and Shanghai Putuo District People's Government jointly established East China Textile Vocational and Technical College Branch. 1985 With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Shanghai University of Engineering Science was established on the basis of the Electromechanical Branch of Shanghai Jiaotong University and East China Institute of Textile Technology. 1986 On July 5th, Jiang Zemin, then mayor of Shanghai, attended the inaugural meeting of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, delivered an important speech and wrote an inscription for the school: "Cultivate more engineering management talents for Shanghai's economic construction". On June 5438+ 10, 2003, Shanghai Senior Technical School was merged into Shanghai University of Engineering Science by the decision of Shanghai Municipal People's Government. On the basis of Shanghai Senior Technical School, our school established Shanghai University of Engineering Science Higher Vocational and Technical College and Shanghai Senior Technician College.
Second, the general situation of our school:
Shanghai University of Engineering Science is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning in which engineering, economy, management, art and design permeate and develop harmoniously. It is the first batch of pilot universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, the leading unit of new engineering construction in local universities nationwide, and the pilot construction unit of "High-level Local Applied University" in Shanghai. 20 17 was listed as the project construction unit of Shanghai doctoral degree awarding unit.
